I almost forgot, the only IOS restriction on the "reload" command is enable access. I might add that this is for a for a very good reason too. Yeah...Righto Rog...!!! In peak hour traffic too... Why not !!??
Anyone know of any magical IOS commands to kill -9 a process? :) Someone's managed to crash a couple of sessions on a router here while they're holding a lock on the nvram.
Ahh. You want the "reload" command. However you may find that the "reload" feature is unavailable in your current version of IOS as it is a restricted feature set. Please upgrade to 12.2(1)XD. Can't think of one... pick you current router model and IOS version and search for bugs on the cisco TAC, amongst the 400 or so bugs you may find there is probably at least a one that will spontaneously cause a reload. Usually it's something obscure like "conf term" :) --cw --------- To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog
