As the person who started the topic about sending to alphanumeric pagers, I feel partly responsible for the resulting p*ss*ng contest that some of the list members have found necessary. To them I say, there's no need for personal abuse on this list - if you disagree with someone else's decision to buy a $700 box then that's fine, but I'ld much rather my inbox wasn't full of messages about who is right and who is wrong. Thanks.

This is a discussion mail-ling list; "nznog New Zealand Network Operators' Group - discussion of operational issues concerning the Internet in New Zealand.". Definition of "discussion": an exchange of views on some topic; Someone was purely expression their view on the topic. I'm not trying to ride on my high horse (his name is Sega btw, and he's white when he hasn't rolled in the mud after I just cleaned him), but at some point you need to hear others opinions/views incase they can offer some alternative (even if they are being a drop-kick about expressing them). Sometimes it's healthy, sometimes it's not. - Drew
