NZ ISP level rate limiting to Office365
Hiyas, I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask...but I want to know if ISPs are setting any rules around upload traffic to office365? At the moment I'm just looking for a route....any route that is going to give me more than 60k up... (the most common is 40k...) Tried Orcon, Vodafone, HD and getting either 40k rated or 60k rated upload speed to Office 365. If this is the wrong place, can anyone suggest somewhere more appropriate? I believe you can buy a commercial service from Kordia that will make your

I highly doubt any ISPs are deliberately enforcing rate-limits on access to these services, it'll just be the latency to get to the service delivery points in their current locations causing issues.
I believe that Microsoft are in the process of moving more of their services to an Auckland based node with connectivity to the APE and WIX in order to resolve it.
Having said that we get pretty decent performance to it from here (Snap) - happy to set one of the sales types on you if you're interested in chatting to them.
Cheers,
Tim

At the risk of asking the dumb question, how would one test ones upload speed to Office 365 if one wasn't a user? Do Microsoft have some ookla equivalent built in, and if so, what's the URL? Cheers Simon On Fri, Mar 08, 2013 at 10:14:46AM +1300, Blair Robson said:
