Just wondering if anybody else rents servers or VPSes by the hour in NZ apart from Orcon? Sort of an EC2 type setup. I thought there was another vendor ( Inspire? ) when I last looked but I can't see anything else now. After something that I can provision in a few minutes, run a webserver on for a few hours and then shutdown again. Okay, thankyou to the 7 (!) people who pointed my at wheresmyserver.co.nz, they are certainly going down as an option. A couple of other vendors who don't offer the service right now also emailed me offlist indicating that they may in future. I'm probably not a big enough to be worth creating a product for so if others are interested in buying this sort of thing I'd encourage them to let the vendors know.
