What Radius Software are the majority of people out there using? Small Scale.. And large scale.. with SQL Backend? Anyone know anything about freeradius? Regards Craig - ConceptNET
We use freeradius at IHUG with an LDAP Backend. I have found it extremely reliable. Very easy to configure and very flexable. -- Simon Allard Senior Systems Programmer IHUG Ltd DDI: 09 359 2746 Mob: 021 456 412 _____ From: Craig Spiers [mailto:craig(a)concept.net.nz] Sent: Sunday, 30 January 2005 7:13 p.m. To: NZNOG(a)list.waikato.ac.nz Subject: [nznog] Radius? I maintain the FreeBSD port for freeradius. Ive used it at work for a few years and it has been pretty solid. Supports SQL, LDAP, PAM, (..etc) for backends so it should fit your needs. Andrew

FreeRadius on FC3
Small Scale.. And large scale.. with SQL Backend?
Small at this time, using Microsoft AD as the authentication source. Seems to work well.

We just recently set this up. I found plenty of examples of configs etc on the net. Took a while to start to think the FreeRadius way but got there in the end. -- .*. | Glen Eustace, Infrastructure Development Engineer /V\ | Information Technology Services PN460, Turitea, (/ \) | Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand. I've used this in the past - http://www.open.com.au/radiator/ Easy to install and very flexible.
We've been using freeradius for a while. Has support for just about every backend imaginable. Very solid too. spence. Craig Spiers said:
