Domain Name Commissioner Advertisement

DPF InternetNZ has started advertising for the new position of Domain Name Commissioner to oversee the operation of the .nz domain name registration and management system. As a new position, it will go through two phases, the first being overseeing the transition to the shared registry system for domain name registrations, and the second, being responsible for the development of and monitoring the competitive market. Ability to lead, manage and energise a group with diverse strategic and operational activities and interests. A sound grasp of the issues facing .nz. The ability to view .nz as an integrated whole and to apply this thinking to problem solving and relationship management. The ability to think strategically and systematically. Political acumen.
I guess the last one puts me out of the running :-) It will be interesting to see what the registry tax will be to support InternetNZ + commissioner + other passengers.
