According to the word Telstra have had a cable cut near Singapore which is badly affecting them and some other Aussie ISPs. Nothing on the outages page of course, but it's been happening all evening. "Telstra expect to have their core routers operational within approximately two hours" Also bad flooding in NSW. -- Simon Lyall. | Newsmaster | Work: simon.lyall(a)ihug.co.nz Senior Network/System Admin | | Home: simon(a)darkmere.gen.nz ihug, Auckland, NZ | Asst Doorman | Web: http://www.darkmere.gen.nz --------- To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog
Is anybody aware of any domestic congestion as a result of either loss of SG cable or ISP's rerouting to deal with it? I have some HN based customers connected to an ISP that has Telstra upstream experiencing bad packet loss connecting to our network. Their helpdesk blamed it on the SG cable fault :-) Regards Peter Mott Chief Enthusiast 2day.com -/- --------- To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog
