I wonder why Clear's level of service has diminished greatly over the last two months? Could we talk about Frame Relay? How about the nearly three months it took to upgrade the bandwidth? What about the 14 hours (so far) that one of our PVC's have been down? (Not to mention our 0508 lines, and all). Makes you curious, doesn't it? -- regards, Brent McDowell Network Operations Manager Globe.Net Communications Ltd --------- To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog
Had the same problem with Clear back when I was at Globe.Net (before it was Globe.Net 1996 or whatever it is now). Although I guess it was justified because they weren't actually getting paid =) Dean On Sat, Feb 12, 2000 at 01:05:30PM +1300, Brent McDowell wrote:

What has this got to do with nznog?

If I were you, I too would be very unhappy about this -- why don't you talk to your account manager if you are unhappy about your level of service? Surely that is much more appropriate that complaining to over 120 people on this list, most of whom probably don't care one way or the other. Oh well, at least it wasn't "Testing -- do not reply". -cw --------- To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog

I'm sure it's appropriate, as I'm sure that there are people from clear on this list that will probably be able to chase it up. Also, there are probably representivies from many ISP's that are considering using clear to deliver their bandwidth, and find it highly relevant.

See above, also, have you ever actually tried to get hold of a telco account manager? Not easy, I tell you.

They might mention it to someone, but I would be surprised if anything they did had much of an impact, calling the account manager would be much more effective. Looking at whom from CLEAR is in this list, almost all of the people I see are technical and probably will not or can not get involved in support issues.
Also, there are probably representivies from many ISP's that are considering using clear to deliver their bandwidth, and find it highly relevant.
I would be really disappointed if people made business decisions based upon comments made by individuals on this list, of that were the case, Domainz would really be in trouble.

No, it is easy. I just walk upstairs... ... and in the past when I've not been in a position to do that, I almost always could get someone of the phone or a prompt reply to my email messages -- this could be said for both CLEAR and Telecom. Really, I don't see what the problem is, nor do I see why nznog need to know about it (ah, the hypocrisy of dragging this out...) -cw --------- To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog

Hardest thing is finding an account manager with a IQ exceeding single digits. I viewed one proposal from an account manager of a large NZ telco (not Clear) that made out we would require POP's in three exchanges that were in the same calling area. Doh! Andrew P. You've _got_ to draw the runes and the pentagram clearly and distinctly, and the chicken blood must be fresh fresh fresh.
