I'd like to start a hopefully breif discussion of the list mechanics... I'd like to see the reply-to field utilised to only have nznog(a)list.waikato.ac.nz in it. So as to avoid the constant double up of messages I am sure most of us are receiving. I always try and trim out the senders name, but its easy to forget. Thoughts anyone? -Rowan PS If it's just the fact that I am using outlook express shoot me now :) --------- To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog

[0] Use procmail/formail to remove duplicated by msgid (I can help with this is people want to know how its done, ask privately) [1] Get a real MUA than can handle list replies [2] Get a real MUA that can insert Reply-To based upon simply rules [3] Live with it and delete key for the occasional double up [4] Ask the nice people at Waikato to modify the list so it adds the reply to if there isn't one already (again, procmail/formail does this nicely) -Chris --------- To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog

The Reply-To: header is there already... However, I notice it is not there
in ealier submissions from other people. I guess this means that
(a) someone @waikato has just modified the majordomo config, or
(b) Chris is doing something devious with procmail.
I think it's probably (b) :)

(c) Chris put in the reply-to using his mua. Procmail (normally) only affects incoming mail. Most outgoing mail takes a very different route (which jabley[#] already knows). I forgot to do it last time, so I should probably go an automate this if its going to be an issue for people.... (me, I prefer multiple copies). [#] This reminds me, last night, about 2am my partner started pinching me because I stuck my (very cold) feet on her. Anyhow, I told her to keep her 'jabley bits away from me' (Well, I though it was funny at the time, I guess you had to be there). Alas, I digress. Its been a long day and I'm off home shortly to watch Cartman get anal-probed again, good night and 'Cheesy Poofs' to you all. -Chris --------- To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog
