Is it just me or are these two paragraphs somewhat oxymoronic? Dean
Telecom customers may be having problems accessing phone, Internet and data services in parts of Auckland due to a significant power outage in Auckland and Manukau City areas and some other parts of the country.
The Telecom network currently has no power issues and all systems including Telecom Call Centres are operating on back-up generator and battery systems.

Telecom Customers are having power issues (zomg ! my DSL r0uter is dead !!!11!) Telecom are not having power issues (running on backup generator and UPS) why would this be an oxymoron. -- Steve. PS: CC'd to dean even tho I know he is on the list just to increase the annoyance factor.
Heh - Well I had assumed that peoples phones (cordless aside) would still work if their power was dead. I was also assuming that people weren't going to be calling Telecom to see when their power was coming back on =) Dean Steve Phillips wrote:
