ALERT: WIPO Announcement & Summit Update
Greetings all - there have been some interesting developments in the ICANN scenario with WIPO now delaying their report until April 30 - the day of our National Summit (bound to be a coincidence, I'm sure!). The announcement is at: http://wipo2.wipo.int/process/eng/processhome.html The Summit is fast approaching and I encourage you to go to the Summit main page to check the updates at: http://www.isocnz.org.nz/summit99.html Or you can go straight to the Final Agenda at: http://www.isocnz.org.nz/summitagd.html We are delighted that Ernst & Young have joined us as Partners, along with Ihug, to bring this Summit to you. The involvement of these two major players in the Business and in the Internet communities underlines the importance of these issues to the future direction of the Internet in New Zealand. Steven Heath, Senior Manager, Electronic Commerce Service Line, Ernst & Young will act as Chair and Facilitator for the day. You would really assist our planning (e.g., making sure we have enough lunch!) if you would register now. You can go via the main page or straight to the secure server at: https://www.amlink.com.au/secure/isocnzreg.htm For those of you with busy schedules I have included a copy of the Agenda below. See you at the Summit. There you go - you have a few days off work beacuse you're at death's door and what do they do to you? They promote you to CEO! Perhaps they thought that the title of Operations Manager was something I'd be sensitive about given my recent appendectomy. Once I realised what they'd done I resigned and went back to my old job of washing the cups and making the tea - I'm much happier with hardware. andy -- Mailto:asjl(a)netlink.net.nz Post: Netlink, PO Box 5358, Lambton Quay, Wellington, New Zealand -- --------- To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog
Oops - Andy - sorry about that -have modified pages and notified relevant parties. I never meant to turn an appendectomy into a suitputonopy <g>! Cheers Sue
