Alan, I am not sure that NZNOG is the correct forum to make these sort of comments about an Australian company. By posting this comment here you are making the implication that Telstra Saturn Ltd is being reffered to. If you really feel the need to vent these comments publically you should do so in the country concerned. Several NZ ISPs use RBL for anti-spam filtering, If a major ISP such is Telstra is potentially being blocked this is important. A reasonable amount of email is being sent between the two countries.

No he isn't. However if your part of Telestra has similar policies to the parent company then it is likely that you too could end up blocked. Could you please let us know if this is the case. -- Simon Lyall. | Newsmaster | Work: simon.lyall(a)ihug.co.nz System/Network Admin. | | Home: simon(a)darkmere.gen.nz Ihug Limited, Auckland, NZ | Asst Doorman | Web: http://www.darkmere.gen.nz --------- To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog

No, I don't think he is. I saw this as a heads-up to all RBL-using NZ ISP's that a major ISP may be RBL'd, with all that that implies about irate calls to their helpdesks from customers wondering why all of a sudden they can't e-mail Uncle Trev in Brisbane, additional mail system backlogs and failure messages, etc. JSR -- John S Russell, IHUG Engineering Manager "Thunder is good, thunder is impressive.
