Hi All, Just curious has anyone had any suspicious disturbances to servers/equipment in the last week? Had an odd memory issue causing a server to self-restart earlier today, although running ECC memory with the news of a solar flare recently it had me thinking. Cheers, Derek

Don't even think about starting down that path - it's only marginally better than considering problems are coming from dead RAM. Just replace hardware and assume it was faulty. That said, yes, we've had a couple of panics/oopses in the past week related to memory - although I suspect a buffer overflow bug to be the cause rather than a solar flare :) -- Cheers, Matt Riddell _______________________________________________ http://www.venturevoip.com/news.php (Daily Asterisk News) http://www.venturevoip.com/exchange.php (Full ITSP Solution) http://www.venturevoip.com/cc.php (Call Centre Solutions)

I suspect the buffer overflow bug was caused by a memory fault in the programmers brain induced by a solar flare (and copious amounts of beer) :D
