yes I was waiting for the day this might happen really, I have a number of customers/corperates even that have purchased blocks in this address space years ago, and are having trouble maintaining the records and contact information etc delegation I think has always been from APNIC to NetGate (Telecom) then to the final destination. Therefore as these assignments are from NZTelcom's blocks in one week's time the maintainer protecting these assignments will be changed to the maintainer of NZTelecom.

APNIC said that the historical way the networks in the blocks below were given out was wrong and so they have decided to formally say that they belong to Telecom. They have been working up to this for the last few years. Basicly if you complain they fall back to the "Apnic is a member driven organisation that makes polices decided on my it's members, just send us a few thousand joining fee and a couple of thousand per year and you too can vote" If people are interested in joining togeather to create a little organisation to join APNIC and then split up the networks then please discuss. However I think APNIC has rules against this. God knows how organisations in really poor countries (like in Asia perhaps ) , actually can afford to get PI netblocks.
