There are 3 varients of code red. The original version defaced websites, and had a static random number seed. Varient 2 had a "real" random number generator, and no longer defaced websites - allowing it to go undetected longer. Code Red II (as it calls itself) is a third varient. Code Red II is what is generatating most of the traffic at the moment. Those poor souls that are topologically near NT servers that have been infected are getting hammered :/ If you're getting hammered, you live in a bad neighbourhood, time to cleanup or move :) ObHit Count: http://wlug.linuxcare.co.nz/codered.html http://perry.themall.co.nz/codered.html --------- To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog
