I would like to purchase co-location for one medium tower computer. Virtual ISP's, dubious companies and resellers need not apply. Immediate need. There a some wireless operators that can hook you thru to citylink. I've had these companies mentioned to me:- www.linkit.co.nz www.acsonline.co.nz http://www.araneo.net.nz/ I've talked to the Araneo guy, and he seems on to it. Their package looks the best. I know Araneo guys operates outside 2.4Ghz, probably the others do as well. So you can't compare standard WiFi with their level of service. I've used Walker Wireless for a VPN (over 5.8GHz) to a site on Waione St, so you could get something from them as well. When I was with WW, the only outages I had where planned or Telecom backhaul faults. Very infrequently Now that my VPN is on PON/ADSL, I have issues often. Finally, you can get a cable modem from TelstraClear. I have a cable connection in Petone operating at about 2Mbps. Of course Telecom could give you something as well. Nicholas
You could try TelstraClear Cable modem, who are the only real broadband
provider in the Hutt

I mentioned this. Service level though for cable modems aren;t the best. Its a shared pipe as well. All the wireless providers I mentioned can provide speeds over 512kbps or whatever the min. for broadband actually is. Nicholas
LinkIT use 5.8Ghz Trango gear as an extension onto CityLink Nicholas Lee wrote:
