hmm, that's interesting Netgate does not seem to be advertising xtra ( well at least the www.xtra.co.nz ) ip address to us either, but I can see it over WIX.

Next hop for www.xtra.co.nz on WIX is 202.7.0.241, which is IHUG: B 0 29:40:39 202.27.184.0/23 202.7.1.241 eth1 9325 i why IHUG are advertising blocks for Xtra, I don't know. And before yawl harp on about filtering on the route servers, I've been through a fairly major filtering audit in the last month, and now the only peers (of 40 some) that I *don't* have filters in place for are: Clear, IHUG, Saturn, Actrix and Xtra. I'd love to implement lists for all those operators, and also happy to provide the full list of filtered routes to anybody who would like same. Cheers Si On Fri, 6 Oct 2000, Ben Martel wrote:

Ahh, humble apologies, reading the config too fast... That's correct, 202.7.1.241 is in fact Xtra, and I guess it's reasonable for them to advertise www.xtra.co.nz :-).
I'll send you some if you want.

Hey yawl. About a year late :-), Citylink has a route server running in Auckland. Since there are now some 10 organisations attached (or planning to be attached) to APE, I figure the time is right to introduce the route server for those that want to use it. Currently has Attica and AOL on it - let me know if you want to peer. Same deal as Wellington - let me know your ASN, IP, and a prefix list, and everything we receive from one peer goes out to all the rest (unless you specify otherwise). I'll be looking at installing a second route server shortly, as soon as we have alternative premises in Auckland.
