Call for Presentations NZNOG '05 The next conference of the New Zealand Network Operators' Group is to be held in Hamilton between February 2nd and 4th 2005. Our hosts are the University of Waikato's WAND Network research group. NZNOG meetings provide opportunities for the exchange of technical information and discussion of issues relating to the operation of network services, with particular emphasis on New Zealand. NZNOG invites presentations on relevant topics. Suitable topics include, but are not limited to: Carrier IP network architecures; Internet exchange activities; VoIP deployment; IP Routing theory or practice; Peering policy; Access technologies including mobile and other wireless; Network and service management tools and practices; Other software relevant to network operation. Presentations from researchers and from practitioners are welcomed. Presentations don't need to fit any particular fixed length. Possible formats range from day-long tutorials to very short presentations floating an idea or reporting on a discovery in a less formal manner. Suggestions for topics for presentations or discussions are also welcome. Prospective presenters should in the first case send email to talks(a)nznog.org describing their intended presentation topic, and giving some idea of the level of detail and length of presentation which would suit them. We'd prefer to receive offers to present sooner rather than later, but there is a timetable: By 22 October 2004: All offers to present received By 31 October 2004: All acceptances of presentations notified. By 24 December 2004: Draft presentation slides received By 9 January 2005: Final presentation slides received A limited number of presentation slots may be available after the closing date for topics of unusual timeliness or importance.
