Given that Telecom will be terminating their Newsfeed service at the end of August, we are looking for a new source of usenet news for our customers. Does anyone else in New Zealand provide Newsfeed services suitable for an ISP (for a fee of course), or better yet is there anyone in New Zealand that will provide (for a fee) direct access to a news server by another ISPs customers. Supernews has been suggested as an option but we would obviously prefer a local feed due to international bandwidth costs. I think we can do either (although judging on your traceroute I suspect a feed might be a little more than you could handle). Email me your requirments and I'll drum up a quote. -- Simon Lyall. | Newsmaster | Work: simon.lyall(a)ihug.co.nz Senior Network/System Admin | Postmaster | Home: simon(a)darkmere.gen.nz ihug, Auckland, NZ | Asst Doorman | Web: http://www.darkmere.gen.nz - To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog
TelstraClear will supply newsfeed services to International Internet Wholesale customers, generally at no additional charge. ( delivered over domestic connectivity ). That service is not available to non-wholesale customers.

Ihug supplies free Usenet access, or a feed, to all our wholesale customers who request it. We will also supply a Usenet feed to other ISP's or businesses in New Zealand for a small monthly fee, over domestic connectivity only. Contact Simon Lyall for more info.
