Just to clarify the mtr/packet loss thing...
Apologies again for the wrapped output, but would I be right in thinking that there's a problem between hop 5 and 6 in the below mtr trace to www.telecom.co.nz? Oh well... guess Telecom's Web was designed to load at ~5 minutes per page then. -- Juha Take off every sig! - To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog

A froidian slip? You'll probably get a call from Telecom asking who leaked Telecom's top secret vision document to the media :) Cheers BG - To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog

Unless Telecom is hosting their web site on ip-210-48-100-1.iconz.net.nz, and you're somehow accessing it via the echo service, it's an unrelated issue, and a red herring, and you're tilting at windmills, and so on. You're getting 0% packet loss to at least one point further upstream from that IP, so I seriously wouldn't worry about it.
