Why did the following song lyrics just flash into my head? "Putting out the fire with... gasoline!" I thought he wanted a lower profile? I think that we should leave it a few weeks, let the press mount up and then remove the posts from the archive. Who's he gonna sue then? IDG? I think the problem is that he's not maintaining a low profile, there was an article in Aardvark just a few weeks ago linking him to some sort of spam (although the details were a little lacking). Personally I havn't closed one of his accounts for nearly 3 weeks. -- Simon Lyall. | Newsmaster | Work: simon.lyall(a)ihug.co.nz Senior Network/System Admin | Postmaster | Home: simon(a)darkmere.gen.nz ihug, Auckland, NZ | Asst Doorman | Web: http://www.darkmere.gen.nz - To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog
Regardless I think it could set an Ugly precendent if he succeeds in what he
wants. Archives are Archives. Perhaps he is secretly enjoying the notoriety.
Best of luck to the winning team.

That's what I thought too -- that IDG news item will be picked up by various search engines, and become archived. Not only that, but it will be linked to by many other sites. Oh yeah, the best way to not raise your profile as a spammer with potential employers is definitely to have the whole sorry tale smeared across trade magazines that _are_ read by the many IT managers who may not read nznog. And..uhh... he's contacting people in the US to take US legal advice over postings made on a NZ mailing list, based in NZ, about a NZ'er? That's nice. Luckily, if he sues _me_, I have a lawyer in Elbonia I can call. As the person who last raised Messr Angelo's name on this list, and having been associated with him on Aardvark, I shall have to give serious consideration to retaining legal representation.
