_______________________________________________ CALL FOR NOMINATIONS TO APNIC EXECUTIVE COUNCIL _______________________________________________ Three positions on the APNIC Executive Council will be opened for election at the APNIC Member Meeting in Taipei on Friday, 29 February 2008. The members whose positions are up for re-election are Akinori Maemura, Che-Hoo Cheng, and Vinh Ngo, who were elected at the APNIC Member Meeting in Perth on 3 March 2006. Nominations are due by the close of business on Tuesday, 12 February 2008 at the latest (5:30pm UTC+10 Brisbane time). Only APNIC members may nominate and vote for candidates, but nominees do not have to be representatives of members. Nominations must be made using the online nomination form available at: http://www.apnic.net/meetings/25/elections/ec.html For more information on nominations received, proxy registration, current EC members, and the role of the EC, please refer to: http://www.apnic.net/meetings/25/elections/ Online voting will be available for this election via the MyAPNIC web site and will open soon after the nomination period closes. Where possible, however, APNIC will reimburse actual expenses for attendance at APNIC meetings, providing that these fall within budget and cash flow constraints.
