Hi,
I've got a few servers in my home right now, which have come a couple of
clients in the CBD. They'll VPN into them for the next week or three.
Telstra tell me that the only way they can provision additional IPs to
my cable modem is to convert it to a business plan, and that there will
be a three month lead time. Not too helpful. Technically I know it
can be done - we used to do this in Wellington, but for the bureaucracy....
Is there any other provider that could do something in the near future
with this? None of the servers are rack mountable, so not great
candidates for a DC really. DSL isn't currently connected to this site,
but the local cabinet is approx 20m across the road.
