Dear Colleague,
This is to notify you that one or more objects in which you are
designated for notification have been modified in the NZRR routing
registry database.
These objects are used to configure the various NZIX route servers
(http://nzix.net/) so you can expect the relevant servers to be reloaded
in the near future. The reloading of the servers is staggered over a
period of time so that if you are peering with both servers at an
exchange, you can maintain at least one BGP session at all times and
consequently a full set of routes.

Advice please on new ISP.
I am currently with Xtra on a home business package. I use a single
static IP. I am told they cannot provide a second static IP unless I
sign up for a second telecom account which includes a separate phone
line and broadband account!
This will mean I pay for a redundant line account just to get a second
static IP which itself will cost an additional $20 p/m.
They haven't told me how to connect both these connections to the same
network!
I am ready to ditch Telecom altogether.
Any suggestions for an ISP (I'm in ChCh) that can provide multiple
static IP's on a broadband connection. I use around 40G per/month (I
want more but this is also a limit apparently).
Any advice appreciated.

Dear Colleague,
This is to notify you that one or more objects in which you are
designated for notification have been modified in the NZRR routing
registry database.
These objects are used to configure the various NZIX route servers
(http://nzix.net/) so you can expect the relevant servers to be reloaded
in the near future. The reloading of the servers is staggered over a
period of time so that if you are peering with both servers at an
exchange, you can maintain at least one BGP session at all times and
consequently a full set of routes.

IPv6 Deployment Monitoring Survey 2010

Hi NZNOG Community,
APNIC is excited to announce we will be participating in the IPv6
Deployment Monitoring Survey 2010. As of May 2010, the IANA freepool has
about 7% of IPv4 addresses remaining, and it is important we get a
clearer picture of global IPv6 readiness.
The survey was designed by RIPE-NCC in collaboration with TNO and GNKS
Consult. APNIC is one of four RIRs participating.
We would be very interested to receive your feedback. Please take a few
minutes to complete the survey by visiting:

The survey closes on 30 June 2010, and results will be available on the
APNIC website soon after.
