Dear Colleague, This is to notify you that one or more objects in which you are designated for notification have been modified in the NZRR routing registry database. These objects are used to configure the various NZIX route servers (http://nzix.net/) so you can expect the relevant servers to be reloaded in the near future. The reloading of the servers is staggered over a period of time so that if you are peering with both servers at an exchange, you can maintain at least one BGP session at all times and consequently a full set of routes. WorldxChange IPv6 over xDSL Trial

[cross posted from the ipv6-techsig list incase anyone is interested.] Hi All, WorldxChange is about to start a IPv6 trial over xDSL and was wondering if anyone here would like to participate. At this stage it will be a closed trial limited to 10 or so users. It will be offered over a standard xDSL link dual-stacked using DHCPv6 for address assignment, so, you will need a router that is capable of DHCPv6. So far we have tested with the Cisco 837 & 877 (for which we have example configs), but if you think you can make it work, then you are welcome to try. We will be assigning a /56 prefix to each user, and it can either be static or dynamic, upto you :) Prerequisites; An xnet adsl account A capable router (see above) A willingness to provide feedback on how we can improve the service To sign up for the trial, have a look at http://wxnz.net/ipv6-trial/ Note: The helpdesk will not be supporting IPv6 at this stage in time, support will be via a forum setup on the wxnz.net site. DoS against TCL last night

Hi all, In case anyone noticed/was wondering why things were running a bit slowly through TCL last night, we were receiving somewhere >1Gbit of DoS traffic (mostly large TCP, random ports) across a couple of links which got a bit saturated. As soon as it was brought to the network team's attention, the target (a poor DSL customer, I don't think DSL supports 1Gbit yet!) was null routed. --David Robb
