World Exchange unreachable

Looks like xnet.co.nz is unreachable via IP (which includes their phones). Is there anybody nearby who can knock on the door and offer beer to turn their stuff back on? I am thinking NZNOG needs to incorporate, mount a challenge for .nz and use the income to fund an ISP that we call all own. IPv6 route servers at WIX

I'm in the process of automating the configuration of the IPv6 route servers at the WIX. Currently those who peer are only peering with one server, rs1-v6.wix.net.nz. I've added a second server, rs2-v6.wix.net.nz, and those who currently peer with the existing server have been added to the config of that. If you are an existing peer can you connect to the other server so that we can test our autobuilt config for it please. You can see a looking glass for that server at: http://nzix.net/cgi-bin/lg.cgi?protocol=IPv6&router=rs2-v6.wix.net.nz Once we've got this process refined we'll be happy to take more peers. (:-) We'll also roll out similar changes to the APE.

6to4 on the APE

As those of you who read the NZRR database notifications (or am I the only one?) will have noticed, we've updated filters with the intent to advertise the 6to4 prefix (192.88.99.0/24) on the APE shortly. This will put the closest 6to4 server for NZers on peering ISPs in Auckland, as opposed to Chicago (the current closest in all the tests I did, anyway). I'm sure many people will be interested in the level of traffic we receive, and the nature of that traffic, so I will be doing some analysis and will post details after it's been live a while. At this stage it looks like we will be announcing the prefix some time between now and Wednesday. Air New Zealand / ECN

Hi, I'm seeing TCP ECN issues on the final hop to www.airnewzealand.co.nz. If there's someone from Air NZ on this list, you might want to look into it. I can provide traceroute / testing information if required. As an aside, I thought the "some routers break packets with ECN enabled" bug went away ages ago. Is anyone else seeing ECN related brokenness, or is it now SOP to disable ECN and leave it off? Daniel
