The company "DomianNamesNZ" is actually "Domain Names Australia Pty Limited" a Australian based company incorporated in Victoria. They also go by "Internet Registry Pty Limited" and "NetRegister" (Not NetRegistry). The address they're using, the ASB tower in Auckland is an internet bought mail forwarding address. They have also done mail-outs and fax-outs in Australia - http://www.auda.org.au/about/news/2003061903.html One thing interesting is that they have sent letters to customers of Internet Name Group (ING) who did a similar mail-out in NZ in a while back, the letters were filled with B.S and obviously asked they register renew domains with them. TelstraClear Routing?

I've been using a VPN to connect to work across the WIX for over a year - via a Paradise cable modem. I was seeing about 1mbps throughput, consistent with AT&T's Wellington Office (the actual people-at-desks office) United Networks connection to the WIX. A traceroute showed roughly 5-6 hops as I recall. Today....I can't get my VPN tunnel up at all and the traceroute shows 15 hops and my traffic is going to Auckland and off to Reach in HongKong...and then into AT&T's network there and then back again via Australia to NZ. Hi Simon, I do live in Brazil and I was not aware that this was a problem for the list. The IP you mantioned is probably the cable modem company. I do not know how to get in this termserv mode. When I need to to things I telnet to MAX, login as admin. I've tryed that kill with no luck. I received one of these as well requesting i register my name with a .net (not .net.nz) extension - this may produce even more issues as this would be outside the control of the DNC. the listed address is 20, 135 Albert St in Auckland - I considered wandering into town to go and LART them in person.. my domain was only registered February of this year so they have managed to get a list of .nz names after this point. -- Steve.
