Greetings all - there have been some interesting developments in the ICANN scenario with WIPO now delaying their report until April 30 - the day of our National Summit (bound to be a coincidence, I'm sure!). April 30 Summit - Live Audio Cast

Greetings - Late in the afternoon of Monday April 26 our original contractors for the Audio- cast notified us that they were no longer able to provide the audio-cast in RealAudio. As we were not prepared to change formats to WinzMedia at the last moment, especially as it has no Unix version, we were left in something of a fix. We would therefore like to express our very public and sincere thanks to Don of Netlink "Corporate Internet Specialists" who came to the party in the nick of time this morning, and are providing the audio-cast in RealAudio. There is one limitation as a result - only 25 lines can be in use at one time. If you can't get through the first time, please keep trying. Another idea might be to set up a "group session" such as Bill Parkin of UniForum is doing in Wellington. The venue for Wellington will be advised on the audiocast page (http://www.isocnz.org.nz/summitcast.html) once it is confirmed. Please send your local venue in to me and it will be added to this page. Removal of Late Summit Registration Fees

Greetings all - this is a note to let you know that I referred the issue of the late registration fee of $15 which takes effect from tomorrow. As this was my error in failing to note this on the main Summit Agenda page, the Council has decided to waive the fee. Anyone accidently ticking the late fee box will have the late fee deducted before the transaction is processed. Registration fees therefore remain at $20.00 for ISOCNZ members, and $75 for non-members (all GST inc). (Student prices by application). If you are planning to attend, please register before 5pm Thursday so we can ensure that we provide enough food etc for you. One still has to parse the output of whois in order to get a single useful element such as 'country'. I think the person(s) responsible for the RFC must have hated database technology. They made it possible for duplicate column names just to confuse us structured folk. ALERT: April 30 Summit Update

Greetings all - The April 30 Summit on Internet Governance Changes is progressing well, with only one speaker left to confirm. On-line registration is working well on the link for the Summit page, and the latest draft Agenda is available. Background material is being updated as time permits.
