The only thing I might be concerned about is the use of this feature for building spam lists. I would only be concerned about this if I currently didn't get any spam, but as I get upwards of 500/day I don't care, but others might, which probably makes this email pointless. :) Would it be possible to allow the who function to only be executed by members of the list? While this wouldn't stop people from obtaining the user list by subscribing doing a who and then unscribing. It would stop the bulk of them of they were informed that the command was disabled by the list owner, as most people wouldn't try to use the list command by subscribing. I don't even know if majordomo can do this. I think having the who command available is a invaluable asset for everyone. And it should be enabled anyway. Just my 2cents worth. Hmmm ... interesting response to the hands up, Clear, NetGate, Telstra, Natlib, ICONZ, NetLink and UOW by my count ... so are IHUG, Xtra, Voyager, IBM, CompuServe, IProLink, CommNet and any of you others out there ? Again I would ask for the good of this list can we have the list members publicised ? Anyone from UOW got a comment on this ? If the other major players in this business aren't on this list then it's not a very good forum to have deep and meaningfuls in. Subscribers, I have this afternoon changed the list's setings so that it allows a list of subscribers to be sent to anyone who sends the right request from an address which is subscribed to the list. (This excludes people reading this through an exploder.) NZNOG list subscribers, It is easy to set the NZNOG list so that all messages go out as Reply-to the list. I prefer not to do this, since it makes it easier for people to accidentally publish email they wanted to be person to person. I would rather see people choosing to send mail to the list.
