Morning, This is more of a curiosity post then anything else, but does anyone know what is going on with the MyRepublic outage in Hamilton? Its gone past 72hours now and the only thing that is being said is that its a fault with the UFF handover. I don't know about anyone else but the idea of upstream provided having a fault that could take down an entire region for more then three days makes me a little nervous. Time to go check those SLA's anyone? -- Laurence Bullivant laurence(a)bullivant.co.nz 021 909 906
Afternoon, Sorry to self reply, i just wanted to be clear on a few things as i have had a lot of off-list reply's (thanks to the guys who have replied). 1) I don't have a MyRepublic connection and none of my customers have one either. The reason I know about this as I have family and friends with home connections though MyRepublic. 2) The SLA's I was referring to where the ones between MyRepublic and UFF. i.e. MyRepublic should be checking their SLA with UFF around their handover. However with that in mind, i have been told there there is nothing wrong with the UFF side of the network and that this issue is with the MyRepublic handover router. At a guess i would be reminding everyone to make sure they have config backups? -Laurence On Mon, Apr 27, 2015 at 11:53 AM, Laurence Bullivant < laurence(a)bullivant.co.nz> wrote:
