It is extange, Cisco has say that this is not is a hardware problem, anyway, i couldn't put operating this server, some one say me that may be it is a particular problems of this aserver with signialling with the E1 (r2 signialling in Argentina). of my country. Anyway, thanks for your comments. Martín Méndez Teconología - PECOM Energia. Voice:+54-11-4344-6000 Int. 3103 mmendezb(a)pecom.com.ar

I use entirely Cisco access servers with excellent results.

I'm trying to put on an access server cisco as5200 with support 56kbps. I probed three IOS version (11-3.9T, 11-3-9A and 12.0.1) with different modems (mica) firmwares (2.3.1.0, 2.6.2.0, 2.7.2.0) in differents combinations.
1) you do realise this is a _New Zealand_ Network operators group right?
but the AS works horrible !
2) you've hit the nail on the head. Ditch the crappy Cisco dial in servers and get some Lucent gear (A Max6000 should do what you want). Cisco should stick to routers.

Well I do know for a fact that r2 signaling in argentina is slightly different than the standard. Lucent have even gone so far as to add the "argentinian" signaling type as an option in their maxes and tnt's so it must be enough different to warrant this. If it keeps going to sleep then it most likely is an issue like this. Have you checked ciscos site to see if they have an "argentinian" option like the maxes?
