Might help if the list curator actually updated the list when asked. Have submitted two updates in the last 12 months and had no response whatsoever. It's hard to maintain the credibility of such a list when it's effectively abandoned. Perhaps it should be converted to a wiki and moderated by the community instead of an individual? My $0.02, Tim

An alternative or additional list I’d suggest you all join is of course PeeringDB. Those who attended a couple of the talks at NZNOG’15 will know its general value for various parties determining who is peering where, but also how to get in contact with the various peering parties. Orcon themselves do have an active PeeringDB entry, last updated in January 2015. https://www.peeringdb.com/private/participant_view.php?id=6869 <https://www.peeringdb.com/private/participant_view.php?id=6869> Cheers, neil

The NZNOG NOC list is still useful. The downside of the Peering DB page is that it asks that only peering partners request access. Sometimes it is useful for a non-peering partner to get the NOC contact details of an organisation. Anyone with an ASN can register for peeringdb. This is the worldwide standard. I suggest that everyone use it. If you do not have an ASN, it is likely inappropriate for you to contact people on either a NOC list or a peeringdb page.

Also, if it's an urgent matter then APNIC requires members to have IRT "Incident Response Team" contact information in the Whois. So that's something else to try On Tuesday, 3 March 2015, Jonathon Exley <Jonathon.Exley(a)chorus.co.nz> wrote:
The NZNOG NOC list is still useful. The downside of the Peering DB page is that it asks that only peering partners request access.
Sometimes it is useful for a non-peering partner to get the NOC contact details of an organisation.

+1
Peering DB is an excellent resource and I am favour of using it over a NZNog created Wiki/Web page.
It’s selfservice/easy to edit and displays a lot of useful information.
We have 3 entries for the Callplus Group.

http://www.peeringdb.com/view.php?asn=17746 (We will be retiring this AS number soon)

I highly recommend more NZ providers making use of this tool.

Hi Tim, It's not abandoned. The conference in February I hope was evidence of that. It's just that your email on 5/12/14 got missed. I don't know where you get the idea it's an individual but the NZNOG trustees would probably welcome more folks helping us admin/curate NZNOG content. If people have got time to give and care to take then sing out to info(a)nznog.org. We'd welcome any constructive contributions :-) (similarly any inaccuracies in the NOC list). Your updates have been applied FWIW. Neil's suggestion on peeringdb is good too. The NZNOG NOC list covers downstreams (to a point) as well. cheers Jamie On 2 March 2015 at 17:34, Tim Price <tim(a)initech.co.nz> wrote:
