Yup - In was fine - but out was most strange. It appears to have come mostly right now as Netgate have repaired whatever was broken. Xtra not accepting abuse emails???

Just read today's aardvark. I must admit I haven't had any reason recently to report abuse to xtra. Bruce reports: "Attempts to send reports to abuse(a)xtra.co.nz or security(a)xtra.co.nz now produce an automated response that says, in part: Xtra has automated the procedures for reporting allegations of abuse and security breaches involving our network or customers. From 14 August 2001, we no longer accept complaints via email. Please complete the appropriate web forms at <URL supplied>" So is that true? bigben.clix.net.nz and other NTP time sources

Hi all, Just to clarify a few things about bigben.clix.net.nz (which btw is a Truetime NTS90 - http://www.truetime.com/). Where is it located? On top of the CLEAR building in Takapuna, Auckland. Who operates it? The CLEAR Net Team What is the time reference? GPS Is it publicly available? Yes, in that there are no filters on it stating who can use it - but it is not designed to handle thousands of clients. This device was offered to people in NZNOG as a reference stratum 1 clock source. I suppose this meant that we expected other ISPs to sync their stratum 2 servers using it, if they wished and according to NTP ettiquite would get their user bases to sync of these stratum 2 servers. It seems to work just fine if used this way. APE Problems

Just a bell to say that there are currently intermitant problems with APE (for us and at least one other ISP we know of) Citylink are trying to figure it out with us ATM. First went down at ~17:25 came back 17:38 went down again about 5 mins ago and appears to be back again.
