Over the last few weeks the New Zealand Registry Service (NZRS), has
been working on the changes required to replace the .nz name server
operated by Telecom (NS7.DNS.NET.NZ) with a new server operated and
managed by the NZRS.
The changes for the replacement server are now complete and the new
server is in operation. The new IP address (202.46.188.130) for NS7 has
been made to the root servers by IANA.
There is no impact on the .nz DNS as a result of the change.
This change is one of several that NZRS is undertaking as part of a
project to make improvements to the .nz DNS infrastructure.
