Dear Colleague, This is to notify you that one or more objects in which you are designated for notification have been modified in the NZRR routing registry database. These objects are used to configure the various NZIX route servers (http://nzix.net/) so you can expect the relevant servers to be reloaded in the near future. The reloading of the servers is staggered over a period of time so that if you are peering with both servers at an exchange, you can maintain at least one BGP session at all times and consequently a full set of routes. They rejected the emails to mailman unsubscribed the addresses. Most of the addresses removed were hosted by Orcon. Dual boot lenny and etch on one HD?

Hi There, We have installed lenny on sda1. Once sorted, i have debootstrap'ed etch onto sda3, with sda2 being the swap. SysAdmin Miniconf 2008: Proposal deadline 1st of October

As part of the linux.conf.au conference to be held in Melbourne, Australia in January 2008 we will be holding a 1 day mini conference on Linux Systems Administration on Tuesday the 29th of January. A reminder to prospective speakers that proposals must be submitted by the 1st of October in order to have the best chance of being accepted. Submissions received after this date have a much lower chance of being accepted and we strongly urge people interested in submitting a proposal to contact us as soon as possible. NZNOG list problems.

Please note that the NZNOG list is currently having problems due to what appears to be an error with the MX record for list.waikato.ac.nz . IF anyone knows the best person to contact at waikato for this could they please email Simon Blake, Donald Neal and Myself or if it is quicker contact the correct person directly . I knew things were too quiet...

Akamai HK problem

Akamai (or ANC perhaps) seem to be having some problems in HK at the moment, and for whatever reason, we're being directed to their servers there. An example site that doesn't work well is images.apple.com. We worked around this by finding someone nice who was getting non-HK addresses for Akamai hosted properties, and forwarding our recursive name lookups to them. NB. Only do this if you have low load on your recursive servers, and make sure you check with the owner of the people you direct your lookups to first. -- Nathan Ward
