Hi, Very much a long shot as FX are well inside the Vocus (and now 2D) ecosystem, however if there is anyone from FX from back when their own mobile networks were considered a thing, I have a couple of work related questions to ask offline if at all possible. Testing 10gbit on MegaIX AKL

Hey All, Just wondering if someone has a server on MegaIX AKL 10g that has something like a linux ISO on that I can download for a bit of a speedtest ? I am currently doing this to nz.archive.ubuntu.com <http://nz.archive.ubuntu.com/> and seem to only be getting 1gbit. Thanks !

routing problem?

Hi all, Hopefully this is acceptable here ... I have a VPS (with a well-known NZ provider) which I can ping, but can't ssh to. tcptraceroute stops a couple of hops in (I think the first to not respond is our immediate ISP's immediate upstream). From a different house/ISP, I can connect fine, and from here, I can connect to a different VPS (same provider, different network block) I'm reasonably confident it's not firewall, partly from extensive testing, and partly because the same behaviour is shown when running tcptraceroute to the gateways of the respective VPS. Any thoughts? The fact that the traces make it part way suggest to me that it's a routing problem, but then how does ping work? I could include tcptraceroute results, but is it considered ok to reveal ISPs etc? My email probably reveals it all anyway, of course ... :-) Cheers, Richard

Multiple large Auckland fibre outages

Heh guys. Has anyone got any usable updates, re the current large fibre outages in Auckland? Not getting any updates from normal channels. Over 600 hectares of lost fibre coverage in Te Atatu Peninsula and some of Te Atatu South - for 21 hours now. GeoLocation Issues

Hi Team, We have recently acquired a new subnet(202.73.28.0/23) and have updated all of the usual Geolocation providers, but we are still experiencing issues with Disney+, Lotto and Trade Me. Does anyone have any recommendations around who else we could contact to get these updated? I have attempted to contact the sites directly with no progress over the past couple of weeks. OARC 38 will be a two-day hybrid meeting held on July 30th and 31st, 2022 starting at 10 am (Eastern)*. *The onsite part of the meeting will be colocated with IETF 114 (Philadelphia). The Programme Committee is seeking contributions from the community. All DNS-related subjects and suggestions for discussion topics are welcome. For inspiration, we provide a non-exhaustive list of ideas: - Operations: Any operational gotchas, lessons learned from an outage, details/reasons for a recent outage (how to improve TTR, tooling). - Deployment: DNS config management and release process. - Monitoring: Log ingestion pipeline, analytics infrastructure, anomaly detection. - Scaling: DNS performance management and metrics. 2degrees/Vocus NZ peering

Anyone on this list have any contact within Vocus/2degrees? Have some performance issues from a home fibre connection with 2degrees to a Vocus-advertised subnet and noticed after carrying out a traceroute that we're being routed via Cogent/PCCW Singapore. Cheers, Nate Lewis
