Please Complete the 2011 Global IPv6 Survey
______________________________________________________________________
Hi NZNOG Community,
The 2011 Global IPv6 Survey closes on 7 August 2011, and we encourage
you to participate and complete the Survey if you haven't already done
so.
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GlobalIPv6survey2011
Your feedback is crucial in achieving a comprehensive view of current
IPv6 penetration and future plans for IPv6 deployment.
The survey, designed by GNKS Consult in collaboration with TNO and the
RIPE NCC, comprises 23 questions and can be completed in about 15
minutes. However, it will take less time if you do not have any IPv6
allocations or assignments.
For more information about results of previous versions of the Survey,
please see:
http://www.apnic.net/publications/news/2011/ipv6-survey
On behalf of APNIC and GNKS Consult, we thank you for your time and
interest in participating in the survey.
For any questions, please contact:

Hi list,
Just had a visit to our Christchurch offices from a shady guy claiming
"ISPs snoop on all your traffic, you should download this free, secure
browser" who then proceeded to hand our tech who answered the door
several URLs on a piece of paper.
I can't imagine a world in which the "linked" executable is anything
aside from a malware payload, though VirusTotal returns nothing for
the file, so it may be new or just creatively packed.
Here's a picture of the piece of paper given to our tech:
<http://finch.am/projects/nznog/IMG_20110802_124202.jpg>
The URLs on the paper are:
http://www.autoprofits.smartmediaTechnologies .com
http://www.autoprofits.smartmediaDesktop .com
http://www.autoprofits.smartmediaPays .com
I'm happy to provide a copy of the payload for analysis and I'm sure
our tech could give a more thorough description of the chap if anyone
wants to take this further.

Came across this recently - nice to have lots of this in one place.

Note the caveats about using some of the host tuning if you're on slow
networks (155Mbps or less) :-)
Greetings all,
Could anyone who's in the business of running and maintaining 802.11 wireless networks in Nelson please reply off-list?
We're looking for someone who we can partner with to help with the daily operation of the wireless network, while we take care of the upstream internet connectivity..
Cheers!
