Last week I and a few others had a marvellous tour of a TCL datacentre in Lower Hutt and it was clear they were happy to provide similar tours to interested people (contact me off list if you want details).
This got me thinking as to whether there are others out there that provide similar tours and whether we should set up some sort of way for people to find out how to ask.
Anyone have any thoughts?

Two /8s allocated to APNIC from IANA (49/8 and 101/8)
_______________________________________________________________________
Hi NZNOG Community,
The information in this announcement is to enable the Internet
community to update network configurations, such as routing filters,
where required.
APNIC received the following IPv4 address blocks from IANA in August
2010 and will be making allocations from these ranges in the near
future:
49/8
101/8
Reachability and routability testing of the new prefixes will commence
soon. The daily report will be published at the usual URL:
http://www.ris.ripe.net/debogon
For more information on the resources administered by APNIC, please
see:
http://www.apnic.net/db/ranges.html
For information on the minimum allocation sizes within address ranges
administered by APNIC, please see:
http://www.apnic.net/db/min-alloc.html
Please be aware, there are now just 14 /8s remaining in IANA's
unallocated IPv4 address pool.
Kind regards,
Elly

[Apologies for duplicates]
Hi All,
There are still speaking slots available at APNIC 30, however you will
need to hurry to get these in.
To date there has been a very poor showing from New Zealand (and
Australia) as far as program submissions go. This is quite
disappointing given APNIC 30 is being held in-region, thus relatively
inexpensive to get to. I really would like to see some content from
'locals'.
Submissions will be accepted up to 10 August 2010.
Now, back to the NZRR Route Registry updates... :)
Cheers,
Jonny Martin

Dear Colleague,
This is to notify you that one or more objects in which you are
designated for notification have been modified in the NZRR routing
registry database.
These objects are used to configure the various NZIX route servers
(http://nzix.net/) so you can expect the relevant servers to be reloaded
in the near future. The reloading of the servers is staggered over a
period of time so that if you are peering with both servers at an
exchange, you can maintain at least one BGP session at all times and
consequently a full set of routes.

Dear Colleagues,
Just reminding you that AusNOG 04 is just 6 weeks away on the 16th and
17th of September at the Four Seasons, Sydney.
We'd like to take a moment to highlight that AusNOG 04 *IS* the premier
networking event for our industry in Australia for 2010. Apart from the
fantastic opportunities you will have for (people) networking with
national and international technology experts, we have a wonderful set
of speakers for this year.
In Sydney at AusNOG 04 you will have to opportunity to hear
presentations from such industry luminaries as:
Vijay Gill, Google
Joe Abley, ICANN
Marty Gauvin, Tier 5
and
Roland Dobbins, Arbor Networks
These speakers will cover such topics as warehouse scale computing, the
DNS root signing, data centre design, and the security implications of
the NBN.
Along with the opportunity to listen to a host of other quality
speakers, let us not forget the AusNOG dinner where many friendships and
good memories are made!
As you may be aware AusNOG 04 is now accepting registrations at:
https://secure.ausnog.net/signup
We are looking forward to seeing you at AusNOG 04!
Kind Regards
Terry Manderson
